The Vassa Entrance & Rains Robe Offering Ceremony
Today we officially reopened the Jefferson Meditation Center and celebrated the beginning of Vassa, the rainy season when monks remain in a single place for three months, taking care to avoid harm to other creatures, to observe their stringent monastic precepts, and to meditate and reflect on the sacred texts of their tradition.
People began arriving before 9AM and by 10:00 the meditation hall was filled.

The Vassa Entrance & Rains Robe Offering Ceremony
We have resumed our schedule of opening for mediation on Monday and Friday mornings at 9:30 and on Saturday evenings at 6:30.
We are also hoping to expand our scheduled days and times to accommodate the needs of people who would like to attend.
Let us know what works for you!
